Elderly Man with Terminal Cancer Walks Out of Hospice after Treatment with Cannabis Oil

Cancer is a trillion dollar industry , and while experts claim that chemotherapy and radiation procedures routinely saves lives, that is far from the truth.

Actually, it has been established that mainstream cancer treatment is the main cause of many secondary cancers.

Namely, chemotherapy and radiation target not only the cancerous cells but also destroys the healthy cells.

According to  Dr. Dave Mihalovic, a Naturopathic Doctor specializing in vaccine research, cancer prevention, and a holistic approach to cancer treatment:
“No chemotherapy drug has ever actually cured or resolved the underlying causes of cancer. Even what mainstream medicine considers “successful” chemotherapy treatments are only managing symptoms, usually at the cost of interfering with other precious physiological functions in patients that will cause side effects down the road.”
You should realize that when chemotherapy is killing malignant cells, it is also stimulating healthy cells to generate a protein that promotes tumor growth, making the cells resistant to further treatment of cancer.
In the treatment of cancer, tumors normally respond well at first, followed by rapid regrowth, and then resistance to further chemotherapy.

The Story of Stan Rutner

Barb Rutner, 77, and her husband Stan, 80, have been together for 59 years. They both have had nasty experiences with cancer. Stan is a retired dentist and currently runs a  lucrative mini-storage business. He was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma 25 years ago, whereas Barb had successfully fought cancer twice.

 Stan recalls:

“I just thought I had a cold, flu, type thing. That was it . . . I wasn’t thinking cancer at all.”

In 1989, that is after half a year of   aggressive, standard allopathic, treatment, his cancer was in remission. In the meantime, Stan had moved on with life; his battle with cancer faded into oblivion.  Of course, he didn’t expect that after all those years of remission he would be battling cancer again in 2011. However, this is something common for those who take conventional cancer treatment.

While he seemed somewhat fine, his persistent cough got him worried and he decided to see his doctor.  At first, he was diagnosed with early stage pneumonia, but the doctor also noted some unusual looking spots on his lungs. Further tests were done after his pneumonia had cleared, which revealed that the spots were malignant nodes in the lungs.

Eventually, Stan was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer,  with Metastasis to the Brain.

He recalls how his doctor broke the news:

‘You’re in deep shit.’ Stan explained. “Yeah, he didn’t sugar coat it at all.”

To make it worse, doctors discovered that the malignancy had metastasized to his brain.

Stan’s Quality of life and Health Rapidly Deteriorated

The radiation and Chemo really began to take a toll on Stan. He started wasting away, riddled with weight loss, chronic nausea, and debilitating fatigue.

Barb Rutner remembers:

“After that he was wiped out. He was very thin. So we finished radiation to his brain on June 25, and on July 13 he entered the hospital for the first time with radiation pneumonitis (inflammation of the lungs due to radiation therapy), so pneumonia. There were three hospital visits during that time, and on the third they kept him for a week and started him on oxygen 24/7. And then he went into palliative care.”

Stan was given a couple of weeks to live, and the doctors instructed him to take refuge in a hospice. He entered the hospice on August 12, 2011.

The Rutners decided to try various alternative remedies, at least to ease Stan’s suffering and somehow avert his impending death. The remedies included acupuncture, Reiki  energy treatments, and creative visualization, all of which bore no fruit.

Stan’s health continued to deteriorate until their daughter, Corrine, and her fiance, John Malanca, started studying cannabis as a possible treatment for Stan.

Barb explains:

“Corinne and John were becoming interested in medicinal marijuana but we were concerned that Stan was wasting away. He had lost so much weight and so we were anxious to get his appetite improved and help him with the nausea. So Corinne suggested daytime cannabis capsule infused with coconut oil; they’re yellow capsules that he started taking. He started taking those in early November of 2011 and in the beginning, he took about a third of a capsule in the morning, and it was about a week or two later that he was able to give up the extra oxygen that he had had 24/7.”

Stan decided to try cannabis. After all, he had nothing to lose, and potentially, so much to gain.

Stan stated:

“No hesitation at all. Here I’m dying and getting nothing to change the course of things and so this thing has a pretty good track record in—what do you call it—in a non-medical world, so hey let’s try it. Got nothing to lose.”

Stan’s Incredible Turnaround

Within just a few weeks of starting the cannabis treatment, every aspect of Stan’s health improved.  He started gaining weight and getting stronger, and his sleep improved. At last, he ditched his walker, abandoned his oxygen, and started exercise classes. According to Barb, Stan’s  progress was remarkable. After a couple of months of Cannabis treatment, Stan decided to get an MRI to determine his progress

Barb:

“On January 27, 2013 we received the results of Stan’s brain MRI in an email from his oncologist, stating simply: “IMPRESSION: No evidence of recurrent disease.” The lung cancer that had metastasized to his brain in the summer of 2011 (and nearly taken his life) was GONE! The doctor calls him a miracle man. We are deeply grateful to his “team” of doctors, friends and family, but we’ll always believe that cannabis turned the tide.”

Corinne Malanca had this to say:

“Dad never thought that he would make it to that day but low and behold, he continued on the Cannabis Oil and is STILL in remission!”
